Carbon NanoTube Field-Effect Transistors (CNTFETs), which utilize a single carbon nanotube or an array of carbon nanotubes as the channel material instead of bulk silicon in the traditional MOSFET structure, are now used in many microelectronic circuits for the realization of integrated nanosystems.
This book, based on the most original research results carried out by the Authors in the last years, collects nine chapters, dedicated to the analysis and design of CNTFET based analog and digital circuits, with particular attention, for each circuit examined, to the effects of temperature and noise to define the optimal operating conditions.
Anna Gina Perri, already Full Professor of Electronics at the Polytechnic of Bari, taught Fundamental of Electronic Devices, Micro e Nanoelecctronic Devices and Applied Electronics. Her current research activities are in the design, realization and testing of nanoelectronic systems, quantum devices, FET on carbon nanotube. Prof. Perri has been the Head of the Electron Devices Laboratory of the Polytechnic University of Bari. She is author of over 350 journal articles, conference presentations and books (www.dispositivielettronici.com).
Roberto Marani is a Senior Researcher of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche), at Institute of Intelligent Industrial Technologies and Systems for Advanced Manufacturing (STIIMA) in Bari. He worked in the field of the design, realization and testing of nanoelectronic systems, FET on carbon nanotube. Currently he is Scientific Attaché at the Italian Embassies in Mexico and Panama. Dr. Marani has published over 200 book chapters, journal articles and conference papers (www.robertomarani.com).
